Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join our dedicated team and support students in their learning and development.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant with a focus on SEN, you will work closely with students who require additional support to access the curriculum. You will assist the class teacher in providing tailored learning strategies, helping to foster an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN
Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized learning plans
Help students with communication, social skills, and behavioral challenges
Work alongside teaching staff to monitor and track student progress
Support the inclusion of SEN students in mainstream classroom activities
Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to enhance students' confidence and independence
Provide feedback and updates to teachers and parents about student progress
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
Has experience working with children with SEN (preferred, but not essential)
Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN qualifications)
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping all students succeed
Possesses strong communication skills and can build positive relationships with students and staff
Is proactive and adaptable in meeting the diverse needs of students
Has a good understanding of different SEN conditions, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and more
