Job Summary
Based in Widnes, we are a leading provider of environmental, animal and human health solutions and a key influencer in driving health and sustainability throughout the food chain. Devenish have 4 manufacturing sites in the UK and four in the United States, from where they supply innovative nutritional solutions and technical expertise to producers through the farm, feed and food industry in UK, Ireland, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australasia, Latin America and the USA. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role is based in a busy production and manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Lead your wider team with a positive work ethic and attitude.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships.
* Work with Warehouse Supervisor and other TL’s to ensure shared responsibility for delivering all Key Production Indicators and targets.
* Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to with regards to assembly collections and bag labelling.
* Behave professionally with a positive and helpful attitude to all colleagues and customers.
* Adhere to all Operating Procedures when operating machinery or FLT’s, in regard to Health & Safety, work instructions, and quality procedures and standards.
* Complete all training required to successfully carry out all tasks.
* Ensure that all paperwork relevant in your area is completed to a high degree of accuracy.
* Train any new employees to a high standard.
* Load and offload pallets/products safely, and without damage (Assemblies & Raw Material).
* Always ensure pallet integrity to protect product.
* Always pay due care and attention when moving pallets anywhere in the operation.
* Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely production and despatch of orders.
* Ensure all daily operational and housekeeping tasks are completed to a high standard and fully documented.
* Ensure that your designated workstation/area is clean and tidy during and at the end of your shift, complying with the required clean as you go policy.
* Carry out all tasks and duties in accordance with Health & Safety standards.
Skills
* Previous experience within a manufacturing/production environment.
* Proficient in using warehouse management systems for inventory tracking and reporting.
* Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Experience with loading and unloading goods, including operating fork lift.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while adhering to safety guidelines.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong leadership abilities to motivate and guide a team effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From £14.59 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift.
* Day shift.
* Monday to Friday.
Work Location: In person.
