Are you on the lookout for a new opportunity as a SEND Learning Support Assistant based in the Southend-On-Sea area?
Well, look no further. We are looking for an experienced special needs Learning Support Assistant for one of our lovely Primary schools in Southend-On-Sea. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with and experienced working with a variety of SEN needs.
We are looking for someone who provides a happy environment for all, helping children to achieve to the best of their ability and someone who can thrive in a creative environment.
Job Duties:
* Support : Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN in a classroom setting
* Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans for students individual needs
* Use effective approaches: Monitor and supervise students during class activities, helping them understand instructions and tasks
* Manage and de-escalated challenging behaviour where needed, using positive reinforcement and behaviour management techniques
* Nurture positive relationships: Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' education, while also maintaining detailed records for the child's progress
* Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, so this can help the child integrate into school life more easily

Requirements:
* Right to work in the UK
* Valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one
* Prior experience working with students with special educational needs
* Understanding of different learning styles with the ability to adapt teaching methods where needed
* Patience and empathy when working with students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
