Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Three Whole-Time Locum Consultants in Vascular Interventional Radiology to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at Northern General Hospital. These posts are to commence early 2025.
We welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers.
Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.
Main duties of the job
The appointees will, together with Consultant colleagues, be responsible for the provision of vascular interventional radiological services to enable Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust to fulfil its service agreements with its commissioners. Vascular radiologists do not undertake general radiology reporting and involvement in non-vascular interventional procedures is based on matching clinical applications to the team's specific range of expertise.
Clinical research will be strongly encouraged, and suitable opportunities exist for an active research programme based at the Northern General Hospital. The Trust has a dedicated Clinical Research Facility.
The appointee will be expected to take an active part in Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching and training.
