About this opportunity...
The Trainee Technician (Stack Emissions) will support the team leaders to plan and undertake accredited emissions testing campaigns. As a representative of Envirocare, the technician will visit industrial sites in the UK and abroad to perform testing in accordance with international standards and the Envirocare Quality Management System.
The technician will be expected to present in a professional and courteous manner at all times to both colleagues and customers. The technician will be expected to adopt safe behaviours at all times and is encouraged to be proactive and vocal in this regard. The technician would be expected to adopt a positive can-do attitude and follow all reasonable instructions from the assigned Team Leader, Directors, and Operations Managers.
The main responsibilities include...
* Interaction and communication with clients on site
* Undertake sampling in accordance with prescribed procedures
* Travel to customers sites
* Site inductions
* Planning and preparation of sampling equipment
* Cleaning, preparation, repair and calibration of test equipment
* Preparing SSP’s & risk assessments for review and approval
* Preparation and shipment of samples to the laboratory
* Adherence to all company H & S policy
* Adherence to all client H & S policy
* Adherence of the company QMS
Essential Skills / Experience...
* Interest in environmental monitoring and industrial processes
* A Bachelors Degree related to Environmental is advantageous
* Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however full training will be provided
* A full driving license is essential as extensive travel, including overnight stays, will be involved
* You will be a good team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
* You will be comfortable working outdoors, at heights, in physically strenuous situations, and where manual handling of scientific equipment is required
* Attention to detail and a desire to provide excellent customer service are desirable characteristics of the successful candidate
