An opportunity has arisen to recruit two highly motivated, enthusiastic,and confident Team Managers the Wakefield Child and Adolescent Mental HealthService (CAMHS).
The successful applicant will manage a team of multi-skilled,experienced staff within the service.
You will responsible for the effective day to day delivery andmanagement of resources and staff employed by South West Yorkshire FoundationNHS Trust.
You will be expected to demonstrate a good understanding of the deliveryof child and adolescent mental health services and experience of leadership.
As a member of the leadership team you willcontribute to the wider aims of the service through joint working, providingspecialist consultation, training and supervision to other professionals,participation in service development/research.

JOB SUMMARY
The post-holder will be responsible for the leadership, co-ordination and management of CAMHS related to meeting the needs of children and young people as identified by the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will carry a small caseload.
1. To facilitate and be responsible for effective multi-disciplinary / multi-agency team working to meet the needs of all who access the service.
2. To ensure that mechanisms are in place to manage, monitor and review clinical and admin staffs within the services.
3. To ensure the effective management and continuous development of the team, providing leadership to all staff which encourages the development of a qualitative, evidence based service.
4. To promote safeguarding and the welfare of children, young people and staffs.
5. To manage the demand and capacity within the team in line with service targets, capacity and demand.

6. Ensure effective co-ordination and leadership of the team in delivering agreed assessment and treatment plans as identified by the multi-disciplinary team.
7. Ensure that individual needs led assessment and treatment plans are evidence based, effectively co-ordinated and outcomes achieved within agreed timescales as directed by the multi-disciplinary team.
8. Actively encourage and develop service user and carer involvement in the development of individual assessment and treatment plans, and the development of the service.
9. Encourage and be responsible for the development of a multi-disciplinary team approach in the identification and delivery of assessment and treatment plan.
10. Develop a culture within the team that supports research, evidence based practice, innovative practice, quality initiatives and is continuously analytical in seeking to improve service delivery.
11. Support and lead the teaching, assessing and mentoring of students within the service.
12. Support clinicians to compile reports for the multi-disciplinary agency team as and when required
13. Promote the safeguarding of children in line with Trust policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Essential
14. Relevant professional qualification, nursing, or other professional allied to medicine
15. Dip SW or relevant mental health profession
16. Membership of professional body
17. First level qualification/degree/Certificate in Management Studies or equivalent experience
Desirable
18. Post graduate qualification in mental health ( CBT, Family Therapy, Counselling)
19. Masters Level qualification
20. A teaching and assessing qualification

21. Substantial post qualification experience, some of which must be working with Children, young people and their carers in a mental health or other complex care setting
22. Experience of working in different cultural contexts
