An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Cardiac Care Unit at Glan Clwyd Hospital for a Band Health Care Support Worker.
Cardiac Care Unit is a newly refurbed bedded unit admitting patients from across North Wales with acute and underlying Heart conditions.
The post holder will work as part of the nursing team delivering evidence based high quality clinical care that focuses on the direct need of the patient. The post holder will assist registered nurses in the provision of delegated care of patients. The post holder will endeavour to provide the holistic needs of an individual, in conjunction with other disciplines within the critical care setting.
The main element of the role is to ensure the principles set out in the fundamentals of care are incorporated into daily practice to ensure high quality service for patients. The post holder will participate fully in the delivery of planned care ensuring that the patient’s dignity and equality is maintained at all times.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the nursing team delivering evidence based high quality clinical care that focuses on the direct need of the patient.
The post holder will assist registered nurses/practitioner in the provision of delegated care of patients.
The post holder will endeavour to provide for the holistic needs of the individual, in conjunction with other disciplines within the health care environment.
The post holder will undertake a broad range of duties and will be expected to work independently and as part of the team, supervising patients and assisting them with future care plan.
The post holder will also be required to offer assistance in induction of junior healthcare workers and apprenticeships.
The post holder will be able to deliver elements of health and social care by having the knowledge and assessed level of competence to undertake such a role which will be locally assessed.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
