Day in the life of:
You will be working within the kitchen to support our breakfast service. Our guests value and look forward to starting their day with a smile from our breakfast assistants and eating the delicious food you will prepare as a breakfast chef.
You will prepare continental breakfast-style food as well as hot English breakfast items for the breakfast buffet. You will continuously monitor the buffet and top-up items as needed throughout the breakfast service times. In addition, you will cook and prepare items to order off the breakfast menu.
Example key responsibilities:
* Supporting the Chef de Partie in delivering a high standard of food and service at all times
* Working across a variety of different sections, supporting the team
* Preparation of food ensuring ingredients and portion sizes are controlled accurately
* Adhering to the company's Food Hygiene Standards and Health & Safety Regulations at all times
* Responsible for stock rotation and replenishment
* Ensuring all preparation is complete and ready for each service as requested
* Monitoring and ensuring cleanliness of the kitchen areas including refrigerators and freezers
* Attention to detail at all times in the food and kitchen service you provide
* Cooperating in a professional manner with the whole of the Kitchen team
* Maintaining a tidy work area to help with efficiency
* Support preparation of staff meals
