Job Description
Implementing, embedding, and sustaining the sustainability strategy across all areas of the business:
1. Periodic review and update of the sustainability strategy ensuring alignment with the operating model and priorities.
2. Align the corporate strategy with respect to ESG matters.
3. Contribute to governance bodies across the business, supporting taskforces and representing, as required, sustainability within major change committees.
4. Oversee compliance with statutory reporting obligations, facilitating report consolidation, including but not limited to the Annual Report and Accounts/ESG, Annual Sustainability Report.
5. Highlight current and emerging ESG matters that may affect the business, operations, performance, or public image.
6. Evaluation of sustainability KPIs for continued strategic relevance and determining the near-, mid- and long-term KPI targets that enable delivery of our sustainability priorities across all key business functions.
7. Monitor the business's sustainability performance, making recommendations for adjustments where necessary to deliver against targets.
8. Monitor changes in policy and regulation, assess what that means to the Group and bring insight back into the company, plan accordingly.
9. Provide the board with all necessary support to deliver on our client's sustainability commitments and increase the presence of sustainability and ESG factors on their corporate agenda.
The Successful Applicant
Knowledge, skills and experience:
1. Three years’ work experience in ESG/sustainability ideally within a manufacturing environment.
2. Ten+ years in a management role with leadership, advisory and hands-on capacity.
3. Proven experience delivering and communicating at board level.
4. TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Environmental Sustainability would be beneficial.
5. Effective and proven negotiator on complex agreements.
6. Experience in change management, highly alert to changing situations.
7. Strong analytic skills with attention to details and technicalities.
8. Good written and verbal communication skills.
9. Excellent organisational and conceptual skills.
10. Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.

This role offers hybrid working but will require 2/3 days within the Aberdeen office and will require travel to other UK sites and head office when required.
