The children in this school have struggles with many learning difficulties. These are often Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Dyslexia, Speech Impediments and Asperger’s.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEN
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where students can flourish academically and emotionally.
* Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning and promoting positive behaviour.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop personalised learning strategies.
* Implement effective interventions and support plans tailored to meet individual needs.
* Encourage independence, self-esteem, and resilience in students through engaging activities.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers, helping to evaluate and adapt teaching approaches.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
* A compassionate and patient nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
* An understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
* A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the diverse needs of students.
* A relevant qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
