Join us at Ibstock PLC as a Mechanical Apprentice Engineer and take your first step towards becoming a fully qualified engineer. This 4-year programme will equip you with a Level 3 Engineering Technician - Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship, while offering you hands-on experience, mentorship from industry experts, and a competitive salary.
What You’ll Gain:

• Full training at MAKE UK Training School in your first year you will be residential and live in Birmingham (we cover all travel and accommodation costs).

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting our engineering team with maintenance of plant equipment and undertaking preventative tasks.
• Gaining critical knowledge in Engineering Maintenance Procedures, Mechanical Systems, and Electro, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Systems.
• Learning to input data into our maintenance systems and assist with production data analysis—strong computer skills are a must!
• Working within our Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for practical, hands-on individuals with the drive and passion to gain real-world experience with a market-leading company. If you have:
• 5 GCSEs at Grade 4-9 (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science
• A genuine interest in engineering and a desire to learn
• A full UK driving licence (advantageous but not essential)
