Company • The company has been providing professional grounds maintenance and street cleansing services to organisations throughout the UK since 1989 • They have been operating in Scotland since 1995 and are located in Livingston • They provide varied services for public and private sector clients such as councils, the NHS, and housing associations
Purpose of the role • Responsible for the broad range of services, ensuring the requirements, specifications and standards are met • You will lead and manage teams of operatives who will undertake the different elements of the contract • You will also take an active lead in the management of Health and Safety in the workplace
Key responsibilities • We have an opportunity for an experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic Service Delivery Manager to join the management team and lead our grounds maintenance operations • This role would suit an experienced supervisor or a team leader looking to take the next step • Backgrounds in facilities management, green services sector, or similar would be advantageous but not essential An aptitude for resource and team planning would be beneficial
Skills and experience • Grounds maintenance: 1+ year ideally • Supervising: 1 year (preferred) • Driving Licence (required) Personal qualities • Proactive, a confident communicator, working collaboratively with the team and wider group with a clear commitment to the highest ethical standards and Continental behaviours and values • Shows good communication skills and builds positive relationships • Some knowledge of commercial elements of business, and experience in a similar role would be very useful
