Preceptorship Programme
We understand that being a newly qualified practitioner can feel quite daunting and bring numerous challenges. We also recognise that the transition to registered practitioner is unique to each and every person. To help support you we have developed a bespoke preceptorship programme, which includes:
1. Preceptorship in the workplace
2. Taught sessions
3. Reflection
4. Action learning sets
5. Peer support
6. Provision of a range of learning materials
Our preceptorship programme has received the Quality Mark 2018/19 from Capital Nurse.

You will also have the opportunity to apply to our rotation programme aimed at developing our staff beyond preceptorship.
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care that is based on best practice and delivers high standard of nursing care.
To co-ordinate the individual's assessment and subsequent care plan as agreed with the multi-disciplinary team.
To effectively communicate with clients, family and colleagues
To work and contribute to quality delivery of safe care in a dynamic team

9. Experience of working within a mental health setting (as a student for newly qualified staff)
10. Identify, initiate and manage effective practice in a patient centred way.
Knowledge

11. Knowledge of implementing clinical Policies and Procedures.
12. Working knowledge of MHA 1983.
13. Knowledge of the principles of diversity to be applied to clinical and workplace practice in relationships with service users, their relatives and carers and colleagues.
