The Welfare Rights Team are recruiting for a Macmillan Support Worker. This is an opportunity to work within our specialist service for cancer patients, providing administrative support to the team. The post is funded by Macmillan but you will be employed by Wrexham Council.
The main duties are dealing with referrals into the team, prioritising the most urgent and allocating clients to welfare rights officers. You will be a key point of contact for Macmillan nurses and other healthcare professionals. You will also collate information to enable us to report to our partners in Macmillan and health.
You should have evidence of experience in using Microsoft Packages e.g. Word/Excel and should possess excellent written, verbal numerical and communication skills.
