The Human Resource Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in Shanahan Engineering Limited. This position formulates partnerships across the wider global HR function to deliver a value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. You will be responsible for reviewing and/or implementing employment contracts, HR policies and processes, projects and be the lead HR focal point across a range of countries including, but not limited to UK, Ireland, Israel, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
Job Responsibilities
* HR business partner collaborating with the operations management team and a dynamic workforce, including many fixed-term and ad hoc employees.
* Work with internal and external legal counsel to review in-country employment contracts ensuring they are legally compliant and fit for purpose.
* Design, develop and implement country specific HR policies, procedures and toolkits ensuring regular updates.
* Create and/or conduct information sessions for in-country management on various HR topics to strengthen internal capability.
* Ongoing review and implementation of HR process improvements to achieve efficiencies within the Business Unit.
* Collaborate with recruitment and assignments team and support in hiring and mobilisation activities as and when required.
* Support, manage and resolve complex employee relations issues aligned to local employment legislation. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
* Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
* Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
* Maintains compliance and provides specialist advice with local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
* Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances.

* International HR experience including resolving complex employee relations issues.
* Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Education Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
* HR certification highly desired.
Physical Requirements
* This role can be based in Aberdeen, UK or Dublin, Ireland on a hybrid status working 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
