Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs (SEN)\n\nLocation: Barnsley/Sheffield/Rotherham/Doncaster/Chesterfield\n\nContract Type: Full-time/Part-time roles\n\nSalary: £85-100 per day\n\nWe are currently working on behalf of Specialist schools in Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, and Chesterfield who are looking for passionate SEN Teaching Assistants!\n\nThese schools support pupils with additional needs – Including those with Autism, learning, social, emotional, mental health, disabilities, and behaviour. The school offers personalised learning opportunities in order to support students in both an academic, social, and emotional capacity. \n\nRole and Responsibilities:\n\nSmall Group mentoring: As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to work with pupils 1-2-1 and in small groups. \nFeedback: Working alongside colleagues and parents/carers to provide feedback on progress and development.\nCreate engaging activities: that are in alignment with the interests of each child.\nDe-escalate challenging behaviour: using holistic techniques and implementing unique learning plans for students.\nMinimum requirements:\n\nExperience in a school or care setting is preferred but certainly not required.\nKnowledge of how to support those with SEND, Mental Health Difficulties and/or physcial requirements.\nIt is desirable that you have completed at least one of the following CPD.
Qualifications, though it is not essential: Moving & Handling, Team Teach.\nImportant Information:\n\nThis is a full-time role (Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 3:30) however those available on a part-time basis are encouraged to apply, as there are plenty of day to day and part time oppurtunities.\nPay is dependent on experience but will range between £85 – £105 per day.\nThe agency offers weekly pay \nIf you are a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young pupils, we encourage you to apply\n\nAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
