Qualification Requirements:
1. Residential Childcare: 2 years (preferred)
2. Worked as a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker: 2 years (preferred)
3. Experience in managing complex behaviours (required)
4. Good awareness of Ofsted legislation (preferred)
5. Driving Licence (required)
6. NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care/ Level 3 Children & Young People’s Workforce (required)

Schedule:
1. 40 hours a week
2. 2 days office-based, 2 days shift work – (Shift work required to promote good practice and additional support to staff)
3. Overtime
4. Weekend availability
Your Role and Responsibilities as Deputy Manager:
1. Support the Registered Manager by organising and leading a team of Residential Child Care Workers. You will lead the team as their role model, planning shifts, and working as part of the rota.
2. Work with your team to promote the principles of therapeutic parenting as a way of caring for children and young people.
3. Offer continual support, share knowledge, and provide supervision to team members ensuring that they are able to fulfil their daily duties.
4. Promote learning and development opportunities and ensure that the team are motivated to continually strive for improvement and best practice.
5. Carry out an essential and valuable role supporting the Registered Manager, health and safety, safer recruitment, HR, and administrative duties.
