The successful candidate will move to Post 2011 Salaried Jaguar Land Rover terms and conditions unless it is a lateral move. If you are in the Defined Benefit (DB) Pension Scheme, this benefit will continue and you will be eligible for bonus under the Global Bonus Plan in place of RHA or Attendance Supplement which will not continue.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The maintenance team operates in a quality and delivery orientated role maintaining and managing many types of assets and commodities including power, compressed air, gas, HVAC equipment, and BMS infrastructure/controls. Many of the projects delivered are highly capital intensive and require careful cost management.
As a Maintenance Process Leader, you'll lead and manage a maintenance team delivering a high-quality service to our customers. Your responsibilities will include leading and managing shift manpower to achieve delivery and quality requirements, carrying out root cause investigations and countermeasures, planning and carrying out running checks, and overseeing the Planned Preventative Maintenance program to schedule, implement company/departmental processes and procedures in addition to safety, 5S methodology, time and attendance, and disciplinary at shift level.
You'll have the ability to plan/coordinate shutdown and project work with your team and higher management, delivering cost, quality, and timing targets. You'll also liaise with AME, Quality, project, purchasing, and safety teams to reach full technical and commercial alignment.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Undertake management duties with knowledge of mechanical/electrical control systems including PMES, TEM, E-Tracker and Building Management System controls being advantageous.
2. Support management team to achieve SQDCPE targets and compliance obligations.
3. Prioritise Maintenance activities on a shift by shift, out of hours, or shutdown basis.
4. Coach and lead group leaders in achieving all departmental objectives and targets.
5. Monitor plant, equipment, and operations for correct performance including the buy-off of new equipment.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1. Strong leadership skills within a manufacturing environment.
2. Good experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance.
3. Experience of managing teams of skilled personnel to achieve a range of KPI’s and metrics.
4. A flexible attitude to shift work, OT, and management requests.
5. Qualifications and experience to perform strongly in the role including a high level of academic certification NVQ Level 3/ONC/HNC in a relevant field.
