Permanent About the Role: We are seeking a Homeownership Officer to join a Birmingham-based housing association on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to manage homeownership services, including leasehold and shared ownership portfolios, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. This role starts with a 12-week temporary period, with the expectation of transitioning into a permanent position upon successful completion. Key Responsibilities: ? Leasehold & Shared Ownership Management Provide advice and support to leaseholders, shared owners, and freeholders. ? Service Charge Administration Calculate and manage service charges, ensuring accurate billing and collections. ? Legal Compliance & Consultation Ensure compliance with leasehold legislation and consult leaseholders on major works. ? Homeownership Enquiries Handle queries regarding lease extensions, staircasing, resales, and right-to-buy/right-to-acquire schemes. ? Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with internal teams, external agencies, solicitors, and housing management teams. What Were Looking For: ? Experience in homeownership services, leasehold management, or housing finance. ? Strong understanding of leasehold law, service charges, and housing legislation. ? Excellent customer service and negotiation skills. ? Ability to interpret leases, contracts, and financial documents. ? Experience using housing management systems (desirable). Why Join Us? ?
