Here at ParkerSteel we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our busy Maintenance team at our Canterbury site.
You will be working on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a starting basic salary of £40,000 - £50,000 dependent on skills and experience. Overtime opportunities are available.
Hours: This role will be working on a pattern of 4 days on/4 days off/4 nights on/4 nights off 12-hour shifts.

The Role and Responsibilities will include:
The purpose of this role is to carry out planned preventative and breakdown maintenance on a wide and diverse range of machinery. This role will be working on a pattern of 4 days on/4 days off of 12-hour shifts including nights.
What are we looking for in our Shift Maintenance Engineer?
Essential Experience/Skills:
* Electrical and/or Mechanical experience with a nationally recognised qualification – ideally time served apprenticeship
* Strong HSE awareness
* Self-disciplined and self-motivated
* Ability to communicate clearly - both verbally and written
* Good decision-making skills against priorities
* Systematic fault-finding skills
* Ability to work at height
* Team player
* Good administrative and organisational skills including basic IT
Where experience in the below is desirable it is not essential; the drive and motivation to expand your skill profile is.
* Experience of fault finding on electrical and PLC systems
* Knowledge of inverter drives, switches and sensors
* Knowledge/experience of processing machines
* Knowledge of hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems including fault identification and rectification
* Experience of completing planned maintenance activities
