About the Art Teacher Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join our thriving Art department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and fostering their creativity. Responsibilities of the Art Teacher: Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and artistic abilities. Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. Teach a variety of Art techniques and media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. Encourage students to engage with Art history and contemporary art practices. Organise and participate in school exhibitions and art events. Assess and monitor student progress in Art, providing constructive feedback and support. Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and departmental resources. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Art teaching. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related field. Experience teaching Art at the secondary level. A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Art. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for Art and a commitment to inspiring students.
