Mobile Roaming Security Officer – SIA Licence is essential to be considered for the role

This role will support the client in delivering industry-leading services. As the forefront of the business, you will be expected to provide the best customer service to all stakeholders. You will be required to deploy to the highest risk areas/locations to support our client and take a proactive approach to new age guarding.
Location: Swindon and Surrounding areas
Hourly Rate: £12.50
Hours: 40 per week
Shift Pattern: 08:00 - 16:00 & 14:30 - 22:30, alternative weekends and early & late shifts.
Essential: Full UK Manual driving license is required to be considered for the position; a vehicle will be provided based at a specific site. A phone & tablet are also supplied with the role.
Main Responsibilities:
* Flexibility of working location in line with risk within a reasonable distance/cluster of locations using a company vehicle.
* Patrolling an assigned cluster of stores, prioritising activities in line with intelligence.
* Providing high visibility and reassuring presence in and around our client’s premises, interacting with the clients’ colleagues and members of the public.
* Liaising with management, local authorities, and police when applicable.
* Maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients and their customers.
* Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid causing distress.
* Completing colleague and contractor searches where required in line with agreed policy.
* Completing security checks on areas of our client’s premises.
* Clear communication with all relevant stakeholders through all means of communication, including radio usage.
* Comfortable using digital reporting tools for incidents, gathering intelligence, and using tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
* Incident reporting and writing.
* Identifying trends of criminality to support risk communication back to the Amberstone Crime Desk.
* Operating Body Worn Cameras and activating them in line with company/safety policy.
Person Requirements
Desirable:
* SIA accreditations.
Essential:
* A role within the security industry, specifically in guarded services working in retail security.
* Full UK Manual driving license.
* Valid SIA licence.
* Strong communication skills.
* Smart appearance.
* Ability to handle conflict situations professionally.
Knowledge and Experience:
1 year front-line security guarding experience.
