If you're looking to develop your career in a stunning hotel and a highly awarded kitchen, our Chef de Partie role at the luxury Dormy House Hotel in the Cotswolds could be the perfect next step for you.
Dormy House boasts two restaurants, The Back Garden (3 AA rosettes, Michelin Guide listed) and our "chef's table" 12 seater tasting restaurant MO (4 AA rosettes, Michelin Guide listed) and our successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within both. Whether it's our British/French a la carte in The Back Garden or our 8-course tasting menu in MO, our Head Chef Mat Blanchard and his team pride themselves on featuring locally sourced and Estate grown ingredients, prepared and served with expert detail, using the best techniques.
We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join us who can demonstrate great dedication within previous roles, at a similar level, working with fresh/seasonal ingredients and with an appetite for learning. The contract is 48 hours per week, and will include working evenings and weekends.
We offer an excellent package of just under £37,000 per year (£34,195 basic, plus £3-£3,500 per year service charge). We can also offer live in accommodation, a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Our 500 acre Estate of three award-winning hotels and kitchens (including 5 AA red star Foxhill Manor and 4 AA red star The Fish) is the perfect place to develop and learn.
We also offer a raft of excellent benefits including:
* 30 days holiday per year (rising to 35 after 5 years)
* A celebration birthday lunch in one of the hotels, on us!
* Access to onsite mental health first aiders, and an employee assistance programme from Hospitality Action
* Free access to wellbeing resources - online exercise classes, mindfulness tools and nutritious recipes
* Hundreds of High Street discounts and a cash back card via Hospitality Rewards
* Estate discounts on dining, stays, wine, spa products and more
* Be rewarded with £1000 to spend how you wish in our employee recognition programme
* Up to £1000 when you successfully refer a friend to work with us
* Premium payments for Christmas and New Year shifts
* An optional, low cost healthcare cash plan
* Free, in-person financial planning advice
* Broad ranging careers in all the usual hotel departments and a few you wouldn’t expect…like our adventure team
* Fully funded apprenticeship opportunities
Due to our rural location, you will require your own transport (WR12 7LJ). If this sounds like your ideal next move, and you would like to discuss this role or any other opportunities on our estate, please do get in touch! We look forward to hearing from you.
