The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Fugro in Aberdeen for a Purchasing Assistant. The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Purchasing team and will be required to create communicative and collaborative working relationships with others in the department and will be an integral member of the team.
Reviewing and uploading requests from the business for goods and services sent in via the ticket desk is the first step. Monitoring and updating all processed orders is crucial, as is expediting overdue orders and those due within the next 14 days. Securing PODs to facilitate goods receipts and reviewing and maintaining the approved vendors list are also important tasks. Liaising with internal departments and stakeholders, supporting purchasers with their day-to-day duties, and securing invoice backups to substantiate invoice payments round out the responsibilities.
The Purchasing Assistant will need to be proactive and motivated, with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
