Cheryl Lucas is looking for an experienced and confident vet surgeon to join her team in Ilford! This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious vet to join a growing practice. For the right individual, there are also partnership opportunities. Ilford Vets4Pets is based at the busy Newbury Park retail site and has easy access to the M25 and transport links into central London. The practice sees a wide variety of small animal cases and has state of the art equipment including ultrasound, digital X-ray, and a full in-house laboratory. You will be joining an expanding and energized team of 1 vet, 1 head nurse, 2 nursing assistants, and 2 receptionists.
This is a key role within the team; therefore, you will have strong medical and surgical skills and the desire and capability to help mentor colleagues. Cheryl has a keen interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine but a particular leaning towards surgery and has recently completed her surgical certificate. There is a generous CPD allowance and huge development opportunities available, so if you have an area of particular interest, this may be the practice for you!
This is a full-time role (40 hours) over 4 days with a weekend rota of 1 in 3, significant sole charge responsibility but no OOHs. The salary is up to £60,000 per annum dependent on experience for a senior vet.
As you would expect from the market leader in small animal veterinary care, we offer a supportive and friendly working environment together with career development opportunities and an excellent package and benefits that includes competitive salary, generous CPD allowance, and exclusive company discounts and rewards - including 20% off at Pets at Home, The Groom Room, and the Vet Group. If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service and would like to join our team, then we would love to hear from you.
