Our client is a £20m turnover, leading main contractor specializing in large-scale roofing projects ranging from £200k to £5m. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, complex roofing solutions, they pride themselves on innovation and customer satisfaction. The company is now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their Pitched Roofing Division.
Job Description:
As a Contracts Manager in the Pitched Roofing Division, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the successful delivery of roofing projects. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of contracts, from initial tender through to project completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the management of roofing projects valued between £200k to £5m.
* Oversee the planning, procurement, and execution of pitched roofing works.
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the project, including coordination with site teams, subcontractors, and clients.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
* Monitor project progress, cost control, and budget management.
* Prepare and present reports to senior management and clients.
* Manage project risks, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Ensure all necessary documentation, such as progress reports and financial records, is up-to-date and accurate.
Skills and Experience:
* Essential: Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the roofing sector, ideally with pitched roofing.
* In-depth knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and techniques specific to pitched roofs.
* Experience managing roofing projects with values ranging from £200k to £5m.
* Strong understanding of project management principles, contracts, and construction industry regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
* A proactive and problem-solving approach to project management.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and quality.
* Strong commercial acumen and financial management experience.
