The Role This diverse role will be responsible for the alumni relations, marketing and fundraising activities of the school. Key duties and responsibilities Develop and implement marketing, alumni and fundraising communication plan Production of digital and print marketing collateral and communications including social media content Co-ordinate school marketing, fundraising and alumni events Research and draft applications to trusts, funds, individuals, alumni etc Build relationships with the local business community to support reputation, fundraising and careers. Process gifts and general donor correspondence Communicate internal messages regarding school development Develop and manage the alumni and parent fundraising database General alumni/donor communications, engagement and stewardship Manage and motivate volunteers working on school development campaigns and provide a central Board liaison point Undertake any other duties in keeping with this role, always aware of the audience: the pupils, the staff, the parents, prospective parents, alumni, sponsors and donors. The Person Essential Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop bid proposals, write support materials for fundraising and donor relationships. Excellent digital communication skills and experience; including email campaigns, working with websites and social media (Linkedin particularly) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience of working with data and databases e.g. CRM systems. Excellent verbal communication skills, including confident and professional presentation skills Highly organised, pro-active and detail-orientated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Persistence and the ability to persuade Excellent stakeholder engagement ability. Self-starter with the necessary motivation, ability and experience to grow a pipeline of contacts and fund-raising prospects Proven track record of success in fundraising Desirable Experience of working in the education sector. Experience of working on marketing campaigns with printers, designers and other suppliers. Working knowledge of the Data Protection Act and tax-efficient giving (e.g. Gift Aid). Terms Location: Based between two sites, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks (ratio of approximately 3 / 2 days) Hours: full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday Permanent, Term Time only plus inset days (39 weeks per year) Salary: full-time £32,933 - £37,188 (actual salary based on working term time only £28,579.26 - £32,271.75).
