Job Description
The Environmental Manager will leverage their overall environmental law and regulatory experience to support site construction development and to ensure complete environmental compliance on assigned construction projects. Manage day-to-day operations and training of the Environmental team. Assist the Director in the development of environmental processes and project-specific EPPs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee a team of environmental professionals.
2. Manage day-to-day operations of the Environmental team across the EPC portfolio.
3. Develop training program for environmental staff’s professional improvement.
4. Manage all environmental compliance training for the projects.
5. Responsible for supporting solar and battery projects from design implementation through closeout (Notice of Termination).
6. Ensure projects are completed and in compliance with all environmental permits on site.
7. Attend and provide guidance/insight on environmental inspections to ensure compliance.
8. Develop and deliver high-level reports for senior management.
9. Continually evaluate site development plans during all construction phases for their environmental impacts.
10. Coordinate with site teams to ensure a pro-active approach for environmental compliance.
11. Ensure that all site environmental documentation, notification, and permit requirements comply with regulations.
12. Work with site management team to help ensure that all subcontractor activities comply with permits.
13. Inspect subcontractors' work progress and share timely and appropriate concerns with site management.
14. Support the coordination and resolution of site development and construction-related environmental compliance issues that may arise and be able to offer appropriate and situational resolutions.
15. Manage and train assigned staff and site management.
16. Manage and train site contractors for all environmental compliance needs.
17. Be proactive in communication with the Environmental Team and leadership team and be able to offer positive professional support for environmental issues that arise.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
1. Education – BS in environmental science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent education, certifications, and experience.
2. 5+ years of environmental compliance experience with a special emphasis on SWPPP and SPCC inspections.
3. 2+ years’ experience on construction sites.
4. Certified SWPPP Inspector/Manager or can obtain within 3 months of hire.
5. 30 Hour OSHA Construction or be able to obtain within 1 month of hire.
6. Extensive experience managing environmental compliance and documentation.
7. Skilled at reading and interpretation of civil engineering plans.
8. Comfortable presenting to and interacting with consultants and subcontractors.
9. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
The majority of this work is performed in a field environment and requires travel/overnight stays. Will be required to perform physical labor. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 30 pounds.
