Job Description
As Transport Administrator you will provide effective administrative support to the Transport Department. Ensuring all customer and driver queries are dealt within a timely manner. A key part of your role will be briefing and de-briefing drivers on their daily tasks therefore, you will need to be approachable.
Shift Pattern: 19:00-07:00
Salary: £25,116
What will you be doing?
* Administration and data entry to maintain the Company’s systems for WTD and tachograph rules and regulations
* Monitoring and maintaining records for agency drivers.
* Briefing and De-briefing drivers on their daily work tasks
* Dealing with driver and customer queries
* Creating Driver run sheets
* Receiving and monitoring fuel deliveries, maintaining the fuel monitoring system
* Scanning pods into the TMS
* Providing various reports / spreadsheets for internal departments in a timely manner
* Carrying out any other formal and legal duties
* Record keeping
* Working closely with the Transport Supervisor to adapt the daily plan when delays occur.
* Carry out Driver licence checks
Qualifications
* Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
* Able to work using own initiative and with little supervision
* Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook (or equivalent)
* Previous experience gained in a similar role is preferred but not essential
* Experience in an FMCG environment is desirable
