This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Cellular pathology, West Hertfordshire NHS Trust. This post is forsix months with a possibility of extension for another six months.
The Department of Cellular Pathology is based at Hemel Hempstead Hospital. This post provides excellent opportunities to gain valuable experience in the following areas of histopathology: Urological pathology, Breast pathology, Gynae pathology, Gastrointestinal pathology, Dermatopathology and Cytopathology.
The appointee will support the dissection and reporting of diagnostic Histopathology and Cytopathology specimens.
Support for attending relevant courses to achieve educational goals.
Clinical work to be undertaken under the supervision of Consultant Histopathologists.
Specimen dissection and reporting cases under supervision will be the main role of the successful applicant.
With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.

Post requirements:
MBBS degree
FRCPath Part 1 Necessary and Part 2 is desirable
English Language IELTS Examination
UK experience in a Diagnostic Histopathology Department would be an advantage.
