Welder Fabricator (TIG-MIG)
Basic Function:
Welding and fabrication in stainless steel material 1.0mm - 12mm thickness including pipework/purge. It is expected you know how to read engineering drawings, understand tolerances/bend allowances, and have experience in fabrication and sheet-metal machinery. You should be able to work within a team, managing activities on the shop floor, sometimes on-site, while adhering to all aspects of Health & Safety, Production, Inspection, and Discipline.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the day-to-day running of the factory production areas and jobs allotted to your control in accordance with the schedules and completion dates assigned using modern manufacturing methods.
2. Maintain good order, motivation, and discipline while working in the factory/site.
3. Uphold the correct use and maintenance of equipment used on the shop floor and during site installation/service.
4. Establish and maintain a professional and confident rapport while carrying out daily duties and conferring with shop floor personnel.
5. Uphold Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessments and method statements.
6. Follow company rules and regulations communicated via management.
7. Provide customer support while working on-site, focusing on reducing machinery downtime.
8. Be available for work during unsociable hours, including weekends and night shifts.
General Objectives and Responsibilities:
1. Implement a policy of valve engineering when working in the factory/on-site.
2. Maintain standards of hygiene, discipline, attendance, and good timekeeping.
3. Create and implement productivity gains, whether through equipment or policies, using your knowledge and experience to benefit the company.
