About the Role
We are looking for a Health and Safety Adviser to join a busy and professional health and safety team. The successful candidate will provide health and safety and fire safety support, advice and training to teaching and business support colleagues. This role will be visible across our campuses focusing predominantly on our campus Hartlepool Sixth Form, and those in Sunderland including our new facility, the Housing Innovation & Construction Skills Academy (HICSA) which is a pioneering training facility.

Role Responsibilities
* To devise and deliver training in health and safety and first aid
* To review, design and develop policies for the area
* To maintain central logs of risk assessments and provide advice and guidance on suitability
* Assist with the delivery of the environmental strategy for EPNE
* Complete fire risk assessments in line with legal requirements
* Undertake internal health and safety audits
Qualifications
* Candidates will have a Level 3 health and safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
* You will have excellent interpersonal, IT and communication skills.
* Previous experience of working in a health and safety role.
* Valid driving licence and transport - as you will need to work across campuses
