We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced clinical or counselling psychologist to act as the overall clinical lead for our adult ADHD, ASD, and Tourette's team. The service offers both the initial diagnosis for these conditions, as well as post-diagnostic support and treatment. The post-holder would lead on the overall clinical governance of the service, working closely with managerial and clinical leads to take responsibility for the running and development of the service as a whole.
We are looking for an experienced clinician and leader with extensive and demonstrable expertise in the diagnosis and management of neuro-developmental conditions. Experience and/or qualifications in leadership would also be an advantage.
In addition to the benefits offered under the NHS terms and conditions of service, this post additionally attracts a Recruitment and Retention incentive of £5000 for the successful applicant/s paid over the first 18 months of employment (given probation/supervision standards are met). Please note incentive payments are not applicable to existing NHFT substantive staff. Terms and conditions apply.
A relocation package is available up to £8,000, if the successful postholder relocates to Northamptonshire and meets other eligibility criteria. This is subject to approval.
Main duties of the job
- Overall clinical leadership and governance of the service
- Undertaking direct clinical and diagnostic work as required
- To assist in the development and transformation of the overall delivery model for the service
- To provide supervision to other clinical staff as required
- To advise and assist other clinical teams in developing care pathways and expertise in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental conditions
- To work closely with the service manager in the management and leadership of the staff team as a whole
- To work with other Consultant grade psychologists, and other senior managerial and clinical staff in the Directorate as required to integrate with other care pathways and co-ordinate care around co-morbidity as required
