Job Description Print Preview An Amazing Career Opportunity for a Product Manager- Readers Location: Cardiff UK Job ID: 33245 As a Product Manager - Readers, this role will focus on end-to-end management of readers and reader-devices within the HID Physical Access Control Solution (PACS) reader portfolio. The role is an inter-disciplinary position that bridges the product with development, operational, commercial, and support teams to provide best-in-class products and customer experience. To be successful in the role, the candidate must have experience (minimum 5 years) in product management with an emphasis on electro-mechanical and embedded firmware systems, preferably within the RFID and physical access control industry. You will be expected to take lead and drive initiatives to maintain, support, and ensure the success of reader products assigned to your remit. As our Product Managers- Readers, you will support HID's success by: - Lead and drive activities for reader and reader-devices withing the portfolio, with the goal of delivering unique solution benefits with superior customer experience. - Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and differentiation to the portfolio by understanding internal and external customer needs, market problems, competitive positioning and technology trends. - Ensure execution of portfolio initiatives are aligned with the broader reader roadmap, strategic vision, and business priorities and aspirations. - Manage change to the reader product vision and roadmap based on the broader PACS strategic themes and solution visions. - Define and deliver clear and actionable product requirements that address internal, external, and market problems for which value can be extracted. - Drive outcomes, institute a results-oriented mindset, develop and implement metrics that evaluate effectiveness of the product line in relation to lean budgets and guardrails. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, using Agile SAFe methodologies, to align marketing, sales, and product unit teams to drive revenue growth and/or profitability. - Develop and execute comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies for end-to-end lifecycle planning of the reader product lines. Your Experience and Education include: - Bachelors Degree - Engineering or related (Master degree is beneficial but not required). - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, or a similar role. - Experience managing embedded hardware/firmware products, or similar IoT/Wireless devices. - Knowledge of contactless RFID in the physical access control and/or physical security industry is beneficial. - Product development expertise from concept to product launch. - Product management experience across multiple customer types, technologies, development methodologies, standards and regulations. - Excellent communications skills, able to convey complex information clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience. - Effective communication in the English language, both verbally and in writing. - Familiar with CRM tools and analysis such as Salesforce, Oracle-EBS, Oracle-PLM, etc. - Experience with product development and product management tools, such as Jira, TestRail, and Miro is beneficial. - Experience with Agile development and lean innovation practices. - Training in SAFe such as Implementing SAFe and / or SAFe POPM.
