What you'll do: Installing small tower scaffolding Working at heights within this role or acting as support to other engineering roles. Competent in the use of MEWPS working at height within this role or acting as support to other engineering roles. Minor pointing works including sealing with mortar or sealant. Assisting with Service and repair of Gutters, Gullies & Downpipes Assisting with Undertaking emergency cleaning duties as required including accidental spillages, leaks etc. Operate at all times using safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and RFM policies and procedures of. Maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the Contract Manager of any follow up action that may be required Carry out various operational tests and inspections of the facility, specifically those relating to security and access, maintenance and repair and health and safety. Provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services. To take part in an on-call rota providing 24 hour, 365 day cover to the facilities. The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service. What you'll need: Good Drainage/Plumbing skills or experience in a similar role. Awareness of health and safety and the need for safe methods of working. IPAF, Pasma, Ladder Association, Manual Handling training required for this role. General knowledge of roof repairing including identifying faults and missing coverings The role will be to carry out PPM and Reactive repairs to all building with that region this will cover Drainage, gutter, downpipe, gullies and roof covering inspections test, clean and maintain same. Applicants need to know this is a Mobile role and will be expected to travel and stay away from home on a daily weekly basis cover all across North of Scotland. Due to the nature of the works a long wheelbase vehicle will be required to store kit so experience in driving essential. Knowledge of working at height essential and permit process a must use of Mewps, scaffolding will be an everyday occurrence. The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check Who we’re looking for: The post holder will work as part of a flexible team with continuing responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high quality property maintenance service to all facilities on the contracts in the north. Post holder must be familiar with the use of PDA working. Each post holder will have a designated core skill and will be expected to lead in this area but will also be expected to undertake any property maintenance work within the post holder’s range of competence.
