Due to high customer demand and a business with ambitious growth plans, we are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Service Engineer to cover the North of England to join a well-established business. You would be joining an ambitious business, that is investing in its people at all levels – providing support, resources, development opportunities, and increased benefits and earning potential. You will be supporting both existing and potential customers including, but not limited to, the aerospace, automotive, and defence manufacturing sectors. What you’ll be doing: · Carry out on-site analysis of products in use and make or advise adjustments as required · Take samples for analysis and then report and discuss results with customers · Install and maintain equipment · Carry out on-site training with customer employees · Hold technical review meetings with customers · Be aware of new opportunities arising for products and services at existing customers · Work with the sales team to set up and monitor agreed KPIs for product trials · Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective customers · Work hard to develop a continuous improvement philosophy with existing customers Who we’re looking for: You won’t need specific industry experience for this role and you’ll receive first-class training and support, however, you do need technical expertise – potentially installing, maintaining or servicing equipment ideally in a manufacturing/shop floor environment. You’ll be customer-facing and act as an advocate for the business at all times so you’ll need to be comfortable building rapport and relationships with a customer-focused attitude. As well as technical work, you will also need to be able to produce management reports and customer reports whilst working closely with the other departments in the business, especially sales. You will be covering the whole of the North of England with a strong focus on the M62 corridor. You’ll be able to work from home in between customer visits and on occasions, especially for training and team meetings, visit the UK office in Oxfordshire and Head Office in Germany.
