The Community Nursing Service in the Vale Locality within Cardiff and Vale UHB is currently offering a career opportunity for registered nurses within Primary Community Intermediate Care (PCIC) Clinical Board. There are extensive learning and development opportunities for all nurses within the service, including specialist community nursing qualifications, advanced practitioner, wound and palliative care qualifications, with training up to and including Masters Level.
As a service we work closely with other community services and our colleagues in University Hospital of Wales, University Hospital Llandough and Locality based community hospitals, the local authority and voluntary sector, to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care including the development of new and integrated working models which offers opportunities for diverse and innovative new roles.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
1. To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without direction and supervision.
2. Demonstrate and supervise practice and procedures to registered and unregistered nursing staff to secure effective nursing practice.
3. To take a key role in the induction and mentorship of new and unregistered staff and provide supervision.

Qualifications
* Current registration with the NMC
* Good basic level of English language demonstrated through effective written and verbal communication skills
* Registered Nurse
* Evidence of CPD
* Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Experience

Salary: £30,420 to £37,030 a year per annum/pro rata'd if part time.
