The purpose of the role:
As Social Media Manager at Parkdean Resorts, you will lead our social media strategy, driving brand awareness, engagement, and conversions across multiple platforms. Overseeing the end-to-end management of our social media function, you will shape and execute impactful campaigns that inspire our audiences. You will mentor and manage the Lead Social Media Executive, ensuring the seamless delivery of innovative content while aligning social activity with business objectives.
What you will be doing:
• Develop and execute the overall social media strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, marketing campaigns, and seasonal priorities to maximise engagement and revenue.
• Lead, mentor, and oversee the Lead Social Media Executive, ensuring high performance, creativity, and consistent execution across all channels.
• Oversee the creation and execution of engaging, high-quality content, ensuring it aligns with brand tone and objectives.
• Manage the posting schedule across all business and park-level social media accounts, ensuring a strong and consistent brand presence.
• Identify, engage, and collaborate with influencers and partners to amplify brand reach and credibility.
• Regularly analyse social media metrics, optimise content based on performance, and provide actionable insights to improve engagement, conversions, and ROI.
• Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to leverage paid social opportunities, ensuring campaigns drive measurable results.
• Partner with internal teams (Digital, Content, Sales, Customer Relations) to integrate social media into broader business and marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with the website team to ensure social content contributes to improved SEO visibility and conversion rates.
• Work with and manage external agencies, ensuring their contributions align with brand objectives and deliver measurable results.
• Stay ahead of emerging social trends, technologies, and platform updates, ensuring Parkdean Resorts remains a leader in the digital space.
• Foster a culture of learning, providing training and guidance to internal stakeholders and park social media champions to enhance their understanding of social media best practices.
Some of the skills and experience we are looking for:
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a strategic social media or digital marketing role, with a strong track record of delivering impactful campaigns.
• Creative and commercially minded with the ability to craft compelling content that also drives business results.
• Experience managing and developing a team, with the ability to inspire and guide individuals to excel.
• A thorough understanding of all major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for engagement and growth.
• Proficiency in social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to drive strategy.
• A keen interest in digital trends and a proactive approach to innovation.
• Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
