The successful candidate will take an active role in:
1. Overseeing and delivering an efficient and effective maintenance service within a Priory site to assist in the well-being, comfort, and safety of patients, colleagues, and visitors and ensuring adherence to the General Property Maintenance Guide.
2. Undertaking a variety of general maintenance jobs as required, with particular focus on ensuring that patient-related jobs are completed as a priority.
3. Ensuring that all local maintenance checks are carried out at the intervals prescribed in the General Property Maintenance Guide and reporting any issues to the Support Services Manager and the Hospital Director. Establishing local relationships with contractors and liaising with local contractors at site as required to provide local knowledge and guidance so that planned and preventative maintenance can be completed in a timely fashion.
4. Ensuring the team is working efficiently, planning workloads, and continuing to develop new skills within the department.
5. Demonstrating effective communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required; must be flexible and able to adapt to all maintenance issues when they arise.
Applicants must have:
1. Experience gained within a facilities, operational, trade, or maintenance role.
2. Experience with plumbing, door hanging, first fix, second fix; Part P desirable.
3. Sound written and verbal communication skills.
4. Demonstrated good financial and commercial awareness.
5. Good computer skills (Microsoft package).
6. Knowledge of health and safety practices and legislation.
