We are seeking an experienced FLAME CUTTING MACHINE SETTER OPERATOR to join the team of a well established Dudley based Engineering business, itself part of a profitable privately owned group of companies. Core hours Mon to Fri, 7.00am to 3.30pm. Salary will be totally dependent on experience but assumed as £30,000 to £35,000 pa plus overtime at an enhanced rate. As a FLAME CUTTING MACHINE SETTER OPERATOR you will be primarily involved in: Running and operating a CNC flame cutting machine Machine set up Handing raw materials & finished parts Quality checks Post cutting preparation ready for dispatch to customer Clean down and basic machine care and maintenance Possibly some modifying basic programs The successful FLAME CUTTING MACHINE SETTER OPERATOR will have the following key skills and attributes: Previous experience in setting up and running flame cutting machinery is essential Basic programming aptitude would be beneficial and command higher rates Mechanically confident when working with machinery Able and willing to keep machines clean and serviceable Proactive problem solver with strong work ethic Experience of operating Lumsden Griding would be useful This position will ideally suit an experienced FLAME CUTTER, GAS CUTTER or OXY GAS, OXY-FUEL or OXY ACETYLENE cutter with experience of setting and running CNC controlled machines to cut steel.
