Band 5 Community Nurse roles based in Cheltenham. As this is a community-based role, the successful candidate will require a driving licence and the use of a vehicle for work purposes.

Main Duties of the Job

You will require current NMC registration; post-registration experience is helpful but not essential, and we have an excellent preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses.

Job Responsibilities
We provide a Multi-professional preceptorship programme that is aligned to the National Preceptorship Framework for Nursing and have been awarded the Interim quality mark from NHS England. Our programme is provided to all Newly Qualified Nurses, Nursing Associates, Internationally Educated Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals, and Return to Practice Practitioners.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with NMC
* Degree or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent
* Willingness to undertake additional training as required.
* Driving licence and use of vehicle for work purposes
Length and/or Nature of Experience
* Experience of working without direct supervision
* Experience of working with student learners in practice
* Previous experience of community nursing practice
* Evidence of post-registration education & training.
* Holistic health assessment course (or equivalent)
* Teaching & assessing qualification
Professional/Managerial/Specialist Knowledge
* Ability to work on own initiative, assess patients competently, and report back to Team Leader (or appropriate health care professional) relevant changes in patient's condition.
* Ability to effectively manage the workload, prioritise, and delegate work in the absence of the Team Leader - District Nurse/Senior Community Nurse
* Ability to liaise effectively within the Primary Health Care Team and with other professionals/agencies
* Demonstrable skills in risk assessment and management

Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 a year, pro rata for part-time.
