* Lead, develop and manage the responsible investment framework for UK and EU investment activity, ensuring alignment with market and regulatory requirements. Work closely with investment teams to help shape responsible investment strategy and inform on risks and opportunities in assets & portfolios.
* Driving ESG considerations into Group strategy and embedding ESG across the four wider Bluefield businesses, helping ensure its integration within business culture, investment, fundraising and operational activities.
* Creation and successful delivery of ESG strategies for funds under management, ensuring alignment with jurisdictional ESG frameworks, investor, and market requirements.
* Lead all ESG activities delivered on behalf of AUM, including but not limited to: the development of science-aligned net zero pathways; development and delivery of nature strategies; bi-annual carbon accounting aligned with GHG protocol and PCAF methodologies; circular economy strategies; supply chain management practices; sustainable procurement practices; and the creation and delivery of a human rights due diligence framework.
* Oversee all fund and group-level reporting, including bi-annual ESG reports for AUM to communicate improvements in responsible investment approach, impact outcomes, and performance against ESG KPIs. Oversee ESG framework disclosures (i.e., EU SFDR, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, TNFD, PRI etc).
* Conduct regular reviews of ESG performance across AUM, using asset- and portfolio-level performance to drive improvements and advances in ESG approach.
* Report on ESG performance directly to the Boards of the funds under management, as well as to the Board of the LLP (and other Bluefield businesses as required). Act as the LLP representative at fund ESG Committee meetings and engage with investors on ESG matters.
* Remain well informed of the industry, regulatory, and competitive landscape, evaluating and adjusting Bluefield’s position to take advantage of emerging opportunities and differentiate Bluefield from peers.
* Develop effective thought leadership on ESG for internal and external audiences.
* Lead, coach and manage a growing ESG team, driving their career development whilst ensuring they remain supported and motivated.
* Liaise with external bodies, including industry associations, and participate in industry working groups to remain abreast of industry ESG best practices.
* Maintain data security and confidentiality by using information within the parameters of the job role, any applicable SLAs, the company data policies and / or privacy notices and the statutory guidelines set out within the GDPR and any associated UK legislation, in particular data that is generated by CCTV or that may be classified as personal data.
* Comply with all required fire, health and safety requirements for the environment in which you are working, including making yourself aware of the current applicable policies and risk assessments and acting accordingly, and attending any required training.
* Any other reasonable task as requested by a Manager, Partner or Director of the business.
Main Duties
* Work closely with Directors and/or other senior members of the Bluefield Group to enhance ESG integration and mitigate against ESG risk.
* Attend company Board meetings as required.
* Deliver an ESG communications plan to keep internal stakeholders informed of ESG developments, upcoming initiatives, and regulatory changes.
* Communicate information as required within the team.
* Attend team meetings, company meetings, handover meetings and appraisals as required.
* At least 6 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector and proven experience at a senior level in this space, with at least 3 years in a manager/senior capacity.
* A track record of training and leading effective teams, with strong cultural awareness skills and a highly effective relationship-building and collaborative working style.
* Demonstrable experience of successful ESG strategy development and implementation.
* Strong interpersonal and engagement skills; ability to influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders.
* Educated to at least degree level.
* Strategic thinking and attention to detail.
