The Role
We’re looking for a Workday System Administrator (HCM) to play a critical role in both the day-to-day operations and ongoing system enhancements of our Workday platform.
You’ll be responsible for system configuration, administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and user training—all while helping drive key initiatives to optimise processes, maintain data integrity, and support reporting and analytics for better organizational performance.
This maternity leave cover will be a 12-month full-time, fixed-term opportunity based at our Shelford Campus Office.
Key Duties
* Serve as the primary administrator for Workday HCM, ensuring optimal system performance and functionality.
* Implement configuration changes, maintain security roles, resolve technical issues, and provide expert guidance to end-users.
* Conduct user training, develop process documentation, and create comprehensive system guides.
* Oversee Workday release cycles, including impact analysis, testing coordination, and smooth implementation.
* Manage security groups with a strong understanding of Workday security policies and domain requirements.
* Work closely with People & Culture, Finance, and Payroll teams to develop and implement tailored solutions.
* Identify and implement improvements to optimise Workday functionality.
* Monitor and respond to Workday-related support requests from internal partners in a timely manner.
Skills and Experience
* Relevant experience as Workday administrator with a deep understanding of Workday processes.
* Hands-on experience in system configuration, troubleshooting, security management, and impact analysis.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work effectively across teams, with excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into business terms.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
* The ability to partner and advise stakeholders while building strong relationships within the school.
* Understanding of a wider People & Culture function is a plus.
* A degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Workday certifications are a plus.
* Hold or willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check.
