About the Role:
The postholder will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of adult social care in Cheshire West and Chester where you will be responsible for:
1. Outcomes-based Commissioning – developing and implementing commissioning projects from inception to mobilisation that addresses the needs of older adults, focusing on prevention, early intervention, and community-led support.
2. Market Shaping – working with a diverse range of providers to develop sustainable and high-quality care and support that delivers person-centred services.
3. Performance Management – monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of commissioned services, ensuring value for money and continuous improvement.
4. Stakeholder Engagement – building strong and lasting relationships with service users, carers, providers, and other key stakeholders.
5. Data Analysis – utilising data and intelligence to inform commissioning decisions and identify areas for improvement.
About You:
6. You will have a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the public sector, in particular older adults.
7. You will possess significant experience in commissioning within a Social Care or Health environment.
8. You will have excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
9. You will be able to analyse data and use it to inform effective decision-making.
10. You will be committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
11. You will have a degree level or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience commensurate with this role within Social Care, Health, or related field.
12. You will have experience of working within a political environment.
13. You will have a flexible and personal resilience approach and the ability to confidently manage competing priorities.
14. You must hold a valid driving license.
