The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will be part of a highly motivated, skilled and multi-disciplinary team delivering to enhance our national security, in sectors such as crypt-key, cyber assurance and other complex programmes. Your knowledge and expertise will thrive in a challenging yet rewarding environment, applying the latest in technologies and processes to provide solutions that keep our nation safe and secure.
Day-to-day you will:
1. Work collaboratively within a cross industry team to deliver solutions within the Intelligence and Security Solutions Team to enhance our national security
2. Support the delivery of cutting edge projects, shaping how delivery is executed and applying your development skills across a range of activities across the full software development lifecycle
3. Design, develop and test new software applications and features whilst adhering to industry best practices
This role is full-time, 37 hours and 4 days onsite per week at our Malvern offices, with adaptive working options.
Essential experience of the Senior Software Engineer:
4. A strong software engineering background such as HTML5, React.js, Node.js, ASN.1, RESTful APIs / JSON / HTTP, Rust, Spring Boot, Mongo, Java
5. Good understanding of Windows and Linux OS
6. A willingness to engage with the customer & good customer interaction
7. Excellent problem solving skills, work with unique and challenging problems
