A leading provider of mechanical and electrical installation services to commercial and industrial buildings seeks an experienced Electrical Project Engineer from an M&E / Building Services electrical installation projects background to join their exciting growth campaign.
You will be involved with projects that can range from £1.5M to £20M.

We are looking for candidates from an M&E / Building Services background, ideally with direct working experience in the project delivery of electrical installations and related services in commercial and industrial environments.
You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the delivery of a project from a technical aspect. This role reports to a Project Manager or Contracts Manager and is both office and site-based as necessary to support project requirements.
You will become familiar with all project details, designs, and specifications while collating technical submittals detailed by the Contracts / Project Manager and managing this process.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing RFI's and keeping RFI schedules up to date.
2. Organising plant and equipment.
3. Checking that the correct and up-to-date drawings are being utilised on site.
4. Monitoring compliance of subcontractors.
5. Attending site meetings and communicating with QS.
6. Ensuring any variations are met with the right materials.
You will manage compliance with all Building Regulations, Standards, Health & Safety Regulations, and EHSQ policies, as well as compile the Operations and Maintenance Manuals for commissioning and handover.
To be considered, you should have:
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an Electrical trade background in a similar discipline.
2. A comprehensive understanding of the tendering process.
3. A working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office Suite.
4. A willingness to learn and adapt to different elements of a project.
