Maythorn is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager for our Children’s Residential Setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people. As the Registered Manager, you will lead a team of skilled professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality care tailored to the individual needs of each child. You will be responsible for ensuring that our home meets regulatory standards and for managing day-to-day operations with a focus on fostering a nurturing and safe environment. The role will involve developing and implementing effective care plans, conducting regular reviews, and working collaboratively with external professionals, families, and stakeholders. Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the children's residential setting to deliver high-quality care.
Ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations.
Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans for each child and young person.
Oversee the recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of staff.
Establish effective partnerships with families, social services, and other stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by legislation and best practice guidelines.
Promote the well-being and safeguarding of all children and young people in the home.
Requirements
Registered Manager (RM) qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience working in children's residential settings, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and guidelines.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
A passion for working with children and commitment to their welfare and development.
Ability to work flexibly and respond effectively to challenging situations.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £26.88
Location: Shefford, Bedfordshire
