3. We have two Fostering Support Teams who take a mixture of Connected and Mainstream Foster Carers, something we’ve instituted to reinforce our stance that we treat all Foster Carers in the same way. However, the post we’re advertising for does take the lead on developing any specialist services that are needed for Connected Foster Carers, and for ensuring the right level of support and annual review for Special Guardianship Carers, of which we have a number due to the success of our No Detriment Policy.
4. In this post you will report directly to the Service Manager for Fostering. You will also be part of a supportive management team within a restorative local authority that is committed to the training and development of its social work practitioners.
5. You will be responsible for: 4 FTE Social Workers, 1 FTE Senior Family Support Worker, 3 FTE Family Support Workers (managed by the Senior Family Support Worker) who also provide support for some No Recourse to Public Funds families after the initial work has been completed by another team, 1 (18.5 hours) finance officer (for the annual reviews of SGOs, plus adoption payments).
