Essential criteria
1. Profession specific Degree/ Diploma or equivalent qualification
2. Registration with Health and Care Professions Council
3. Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio, including attendance at recent postgraduate courses relevant to the clinical service area
4. Evidence of management and/or leadership development/training
Desirable criteria
1. Involvement in Special Clinical Interest Group
2. Evidence of working at MSc Level
Experience
Essential criteria
1. Significant post graduate experience, including experience in a relevant specialist role
2. Demonstrate clinical expertise in the management of highly complex patients within clinical area
3. Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team and wider system partners
4. Experience of leading service change and quality improvement projects for safe, personal, and effective care
5. Experience of undergraduate student and/or support staff supervision
6. Contribution to clinical education of junior staff, students and assistants
7. Clinical supervision, including formal appraisal and objective setting
8. Experience of clinical guidance, pathway and protocol development and implementation
9. Involvement in audit, research and evidenced based practice with demonstrable impact on quality improvement
Desirable criteria
1. Committee membership e.g., Safety Committee
2. Experience of formal presentations including presenting to MDT, leadership, and clinical teams
Knowledge

1. In depth knowledge of local and national NHS/Social Care agenda and its relevance to service area
