Job Title: Employment Coach - NEETS Location: Kent Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum Contract: Full-time, Fixed-term Role Overview: As an Employment Coach working with NEETs (Not in Employment, Education, or Training), you will support participants through a structured 12-week program aimed at improving employability or educational progression. Your focus will be on empowering participants, offering tailored support, and guiding them toward sustainable employment or education outcomes. You will be responsible for managing caseloads, developing action plans, and collaborating with external partners to deliver a comprehensive support service. Key Responsibilities:
* Manage incoming referrals and respond promptly to schedule initial meetings.
* Conduct assessments to determine the suitability of participants for the program.
* Guide participants through enrolment, ensuring documentation is completed to a high standard.
* Provide weekly personalised support, including CV development, job searching, and confidence building.
* Develop tailored action plans for participants, focusing on skill development, job readiness, and educational progression.
* Offer 1-1 and group coaching sessions on job readiness, interview skills, and workplace behaviour.
* Collaborate with external partners to enhance participant support services.
* Liaise with referral partners to provide updates on participant progress.
* Track participant progress, ensuring action plans are realistic and support participant goals.
* Monitor caseloads to achieve a 60% progression rate into employment or education.
* Offer aftercare support, including monthly follow-ups for six months to track employment sustainability.
* Support in reporting duties for the project, providing regular updates to the Head of Employability.
* Attend external events to promote the program when required.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge: Essential
* Experience in delivering 1-1 support and group sessions focused on employability.
* Understanding of the barriers young people face in securing employment or education.
* Skilled in supporting participants with CV writing and job applications.
* Ability to develop tailored action plans to support participant goals.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with peers and external partners.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Proficient in IT and experience working with CRM systems.
Desirable
* Experience working specifically with 16-24-year-olds.
* Ability to conduct employer visits when required to support the Business Development team.
Qualifications and Training: Essential
* Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics.
* Mental Health First Aider qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
Desirable
* Level 2 IAG (Information, Advice, and Guidance) qualification.
* Relevant youth-related qualification.
* Functional Skills Level 2 in Information Technology
